International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) Certification

Iaedp established the certification process to promote standards of excellence within the field of eating disorders. Professionals who demonstrate clinical expertise through education, experience and a rigorous examination are eligible for the Traditional Certification as a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) for therapists and physicians, Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietician (CEDRD) for registered dietitians, or Certified Eating Disorders Registered Nurse (CEDRN) for registered nurses also, a new certification for art professionals, etc.

Body Positive Psychotherapy – Online course

The Body Positive Psychotherapy 10 CEU online course provides professionals with cutting-edge tools to help their clients who are struggling with eating and body image problems. Psychotherapist Elizabeth Scott, LSCW, teaches professionals to support clients to listen to and trust their own internal wisdom, and to take responsibility for their own self-care, starting at the most fundamental level – feeding themselves.

Eating Disorder Case Consultation Group

This group, hosted by Christopher Lamps, MD and Christine lamps, LCSW, offers informal peer supervision, exchange of ideas, treatment planning, and self-care for ED providers (RDs, LCSWs, LPCs or MDs).

Eating Disorders Institute

Eating Disorders Institute Graduate Certificate Program is designed to meet the needs of health and mental health professionals, dietitians, school professionals and others across the country with an interest in this unique specialization. It is also for those interested in becoming a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist in behavioral health, nutrition, or nursing. At this time, there are only two graduate programs in the country offering this program and Plymouth State University’s program is the oldest and most comprehensive.
